It's National Novel Writing Month
November is National Novel Writing Month. To celebrate, I'm joining a slew of other wannabe writers as we each attempt to write a 175-page (50,000-word) novel by midnight, November 30. That's 1666.67 words per day, or 104.167 words per waking hour (assuming a 16-hour waking day).
I haven't written any fiction since I was forced to in high school, so I don't hold out much hope for the quality of my novel. But I'll have written a novel! How cool is that?
November also seems to be the Get-Out-Your-Woolens-And-Make-A-Hot-Cup-Of-Tea month. The temperature is a mere 4 degrees Celcius (that's 39 F for you American types) at the moment, with a high of 12. Brr! It's a good thing I bought a super mega mad elite wind and water proof cycling jacket yesterday. But why oh why didn't I buy the full-finger gloves?
