NY you wouldn't wanna work; just party all night.
Chicago you'de be with family.
DC is evil.
Seattle is wet.
Boston is cold, snowy, and wet.
NC isn't horrible, but the "south".
New Mexico is the nation's poorest state.
I think your best bet is Austin.

Do not go to D.C. This, of course, comes from the Northern Virginia perspective. Do not go to NoVa, either!
Chapel Hill isn't terrible, 'cept for all the Carolina blue. Stupid UNC. Stupid Duke.
Based on my five-day visit there, you might like Seattle. If you don't mind the cold, you might like Boston.
My sister lived in Santa Fe for a summer and loved it. Then again, she was there *only* for a summer.
BTW, any significance to the digits we anonymous folks have to enter? Mine is 842009.

Interesting - I will take your comments about DC very seriously. I don't want to work for 'the man' anyway.
I believe the digits are random - then again, the last number I had to enter included the string '1337' !!

Go to my beloved Boston. Okay, so there are large rats and very high rent, but still, it is a wonderful cozy city! Ride the T.
By the way, how come Madison isn't on your list? Not that I suggest it. My close friend is moving back to Houston because the cost of living is too much there - but, other than that, it sounds more or less like paradise. People actually believe in community. I know, that's crazy talk!

Madison is a great suggestion. My sister goes to school there, and the city has always held a soft spot in my heart. It is cold, though, but so is Boston!
The more I look for jobs, the more I think that it would be best to live in a cheaper, mid-size city (like Austin or Madison). For the time being, my priorities are paying off my student loan and saving for the next big thing. And wouldn't it be so much better to relocate to a large city with a little money in the bank?
I'd hate to move to NYC, but have to live in Jersey.
