I’m in Chicago for the month of December, visiting friends and family and generally enjoying the cold Midwestern winter - it’s the way winter should be! And now I have even more reason to get out in the snow - skiing!
Last weekend I went to Milwaukee to visit Matt and his girlfriend. Matt took me skiing at Lapham Peak State Park. It was my first time ever skiing and even though parts of it were terrifying, I loved it! I also loved “Joe” (above), the ski rental guy at Wheel and Sprocket who fitted me with some freshly waxed skis and an interesting story about Procrustes.
Milwaukee was a short but amazing time. Matt’s girlfriend, Abby, makes amazing chili. And Milwaukee itself is surprisingly cool. Dare I say I could live there?
Matt reminded me that there are still people around who actually read my personal blog so I’m going to try to start keeping it up to date again with the latest haps from life mod me. There you have it!
