Mylo: Destroy Rock & Roll (and RealAudio)

Why oh why do people still use RealAudio format to share their delicious sounds? It’s so … inconvenient. Still, sometimes its worth chugging along with such formalities to tune into something great, like, Mylo, aka Myles MacInnes, Scottish DJ and master of his G4.

The album is a melange of fun grooves harkening from a range of influences. My favorites this morning are “In My Arms”, incorporating a melody hook from “Bette Davis Eyes”, and “Guilty of Love”, a dedication to Prince that I can’t resist. But it’s not all remixes and dedications - my ears just tune into these things because I’m not hip to the electronic wave. All I know is what sounds good, and every album on this track makes me grin.
