“No more wank from this place.”

That’s what Tim had to say about Tinderbox Coffee this afternoon, but the statement could well be applied to London as a whole. I’m off to Austin tomorrow.

This doesn’t feel real.

Are those suitcases in the corner really mine?

We’ve muddled through the weekend with impressive moderation, avoiding drunkenness and hangovers, embracing tea and each other. We’ve managed a few new things, including Tate Britain and Hampstead Heath. ‘The Heath’, as I call it, was blustery, bare and beautiful. It was the ideal Saturday afternoon for many reasons: the mutual newness, the ease of transport on the Silverlink, the long walk in the open air, and the hazy view of London’s subtle skyline.

Savoring London Lasts:

- Last view of St. Paul’s
- Last half of Hoegaarden @ the Wellington (and my first Sunday [nut]Roast)
- Last ride on the 38 bus
- Last meal / bottle of Tempranillo at The Northgate
- Last walk through Green Park
- Last movie at Screen on the Green (The Life Aquatic)
- Last coffee @ T. Box (a small skinny cappuccino)
- Last walk across Millennium Bridge (and my last view of The River Thames)
- Last museum (Tate Britain)
- Last night in with Tim (chile-stuffed red peppers, rocket salad, asparagus, and some sticky toffee putting that may have put us off sweet foods for life)
- Last mp3 played (Good Morning Baby - Tim Finn, Bic Runga, Dave Dobbyn)
- Last book read (Zen & The Art of Motorcycle Maintenance)
- Last cup o’ tea & a sit down (peppermint)
- Last spoon!
