for my readers who prefer the unfeeling nature of my blog, i apologize for the following. i’m about to make a rather personal statement, and then i promise i will return to the cool-kat apathy you’ve all learned to love and admire. you see, i’ve had a rather miserable week — a week full of bad news, crap weather, shitty health, and wet shoes. i won’t go into details, but this happens to be where i’m coming (not on your face) from at the moment. this may also contribute to the lack of posts lately. it could also be that life is slow and uneventful in athens, georgia.
but it’s time to put the turmoils of my blessed life aside for a moment.
four more days until i walk off a plane and have the austin heat pimp slap me across my face (maybe i’ll walk off the plane backwards — i might get a spanking!). so i’m putting this week aside for a moment, or more appropriately, i’m putting this week into perspective. life really is full of possibilities, and austin is where i have to be. so shall i get all bridget jones about this?

resolutions: don’t hook up with Hugh Grant, er, watch less Bridget Jones, eat more fruits and veggies (meat and 2 veg?)
the point is this: athens has been phenomenal, but i can’t wait to get back to austin and get back to living…. and start building my ABS OF STEEL.
spontaneous resolution: start using my goddam juicer again. fuck… i think i left a bag of carrots in my crisper drawer. yet another delight i have to look forward to upon my return home.
it’s canada day.
this evening, between blowing my nose with toilet paper and drinking captain & diet coke, i hit amazon.com and made 2 purchases, including a bonafide music CD: postal service, “give up”. i seem to get a lot of hits from people searching for this band, so i might even post the lyrics or something helpful like that. i also bought a DVD: Hedwig and the Angry Inch. (that reminds me: props to piatek for supplying me with the soundtrack.)
speaking of michael, at the beginning of the reu, he held the distinction of having his website appear LAST when google-searching for his name in quotes. now he’s number 3.
