What can I say about this fine weathered week? Last Tuesday marked the year’s first battle with bookbag sweat. I aquired some more pencil lead: 0.7 mm. I ordered A First Course in Numerical Analysis by Ralston and Rabinowitz. Color me Martha Stewart: I even did some gardening.
This morning I sold my micro twin bed in favor of a grown-up bed (still not purchased). It’s about time. A hefty tip to mattress buyers: the Mattress Firm has a “secret” back room where they keep all of the sale mattresses, but they won’t tell you about it unless you ask specifically. Damn salesmen. In the parliance of Guffman: “bastard people”.
I finally got some new NiMH batteries for my digital camera and took some pictures of my new place for my parents. In more spending news, I finally made it over to World Market to use a $25 gift certificate I had recieved for x-mas (thanks pater). I picked up some wine glasses, 2 microwave safe bowls, a mug, and some outdoor lights.
Last night I went out with lj. We tried Nasty’s until i realized i hadn’t closed my tab at the crown from the night before. So back again to my local. Gossip. Cigarettes. Dos Booshy. One multi-vitamin. One B-complex vitamin. Three ibuprofens. Neon yellow pee in the morning.
Tim’s got the only picture I developed in my darkroom class that was worth saving on his blog. I hope to build a darkroom in my bathroom this summer. This task may be thwarted by a potential job opportunity at U-GA during most of June. I’m quite unsure about taking this position (teaching assistant for an REU). I was quite looking forward to spending the summer recovering from my prelims and figuring out what I should do with my life (to PhD or not to PhD, that is the question). I often think I’d rather be lazy this summer than ambitious. Does that make me a bad person?
