I haven’t been taking any quality pictures lately so I’m posting one of the speedometer on my Yamaha Vino.
Last weekend did not turn out as I had planned (not a bad thing). I inteded to work all weekend as I’m feeling a bit behind. But somehow that just didn’t work out. Saturday afternoon I watched Following, directed by Memento’s Christopher Nolan (this was his debut film, aamof). Definitely more indie than Memento, but extremely good. It’s all about this writer who follows people to get “material” but ends up following and befriending a burgler. He gets overly involved with this man and things get weird. Like Memento, the time line is all dicked up. Overally, a surpisingly good film considering the obvious low budget; I give it three gold booshettas.
Saturday night I made it to Liz’s party. Though I intended to stay until 10 or 11pm, I somehow didn’t get back until 3am. I suppose that means I had a good time. Indeed. I drank far too much red wine, but I owned the place and the CD collection. Even better was the opportunity to reaquaint myself with an old friend. And then I left my jacket there. Such is life. Pimpin…ain’t easy.
Sunday… slept in…recovered… ate Serranos and free refills of Diet Coke (thanks rafi)… got some work done…got an afternoon pint with Tim…. re-watched Memento….went to Trudy’s for a vodka tonic and quesadillas….
Now entering detoxification sequence.
So I was listening to some BNL rap today which contained a short clip of “Would I Lie To You?” originally by Charles and Eddy. So, for some reason, i was compelled to download the C&E version and I’ve been cracking up at my desk for the past 4:34 minutes listening to it.
